Looking For Breakfast In Al-Khobar

Its 8am in the morning. After the 1hr & 30min bus ride from SCC camp in Aindar to Al-Khobar (one of the major cities in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia), I'm quite hungry. Walking along and searching for a restaurant to have breakfast, I noticed that most of them are still closed. McDonalds is very far away and I'm getting more hungry by the minute... Luckily, I saw a sandwich house open! What a great relief! Now, I can have breakfast!

In Saudi Arabia, most of the restaurants and eateries open up late.  Some by 10am and others as late as 4pm. Mostly, only sandwich stands and Indian 'Boofiya's' are open early morning.  I came across this sandwich house named "Mr. Burger". They serve a wide variety of sandwiches like, burgers, chicken sandwich, egg sandwich, beef sandwich, and many others.  They also serve Shawarma & Broasted, but not until 4pm. They offer beverages like freshly blendered fruit juices, softdrinks, coffee, and tea.

I wanted to try their cheese burger, so I ordered together with a glass of pepsi cola. As they served the burger, I tried to look whats inside.  Well, its a thick burger patty, with fresh lettuce, chopped tomatoes, a bit of spinach, 4 french fry sticks, cheese, mayo and catsup.  At SR6 per burger, it isn't a bad deal at all.  But of course the final verdict is the taste... As I tasted it, I was surprised how good it taste! It's similar to a good-tasting homemade burger my grandma used to make. And because the patty was thick and all the essential veggies were there, its a perfect combination with pepsi!

For those who wish to have their stomach content at a low price, Mr. Burger is the place to be.  Their sandwiches ranges from SR1-SR4, burger is at SR6.  Their sandwiches are perfect for milk tea priced at SR1 per cup.

My Rating:
Food & Taste: 8/10 (good taste, veggie combination compliments burger and cheese)
Ambiance: 5/10 (too much people buying, noisy, and you have to eat fast because someone is waiting for you)
Cleanliness: 6/10 (litter all around the place and tables are with dripped sauces)
Service: 7/10 (its self service, but staff is courteous and cooking time is fast)
Establishment: 5/10 (it lack tables, no CR)
Price: 10/10 (you can satisfy your hunger @ SR3 and it tastes good)
Overall Rating: 6/10
