King Abdullah Of Adventures Theme Park - Al Ahsa

There's a new theme park under construction in Al Ahsa metropolitan area called the King Abdullah Of Adventures [click here for location in Google Maps].  The park is not yet officially open, but they are allowing the public to conduct daytime visits and explore the park.  We were on our way to Land Of Civilizations, when we noticed this park along the high way.  You wouldn't miss it when you pass by because you will notice the long hanging bridges and the cable cars that are not yet operational.  The park is situated on a hillside where there you have great views of the mountains, dates plantation, and neighboring town.

The place is a family park with picnic huts and playgrounds in it.  The main of the attractions of the park are the 2 long suspension bridges and the cable cars once they are operational.

Hopefully, once the park is finished, we can visit again.  Based from what we saw, there will be a fountain lake and a huge man-made waterfall in the park.  Once the park is completed, I'm sure many locals with flock here specially during the weekends and holidays.  As of now we have no idea how much the entrance would cost but today, we enjoyed exploring the park for free.

If you want to visit the park, since it is not yet fully open, make sure you bring your drinking water since it can be very hot during the day and there are still no stores in the area.  I also suggest that you come here either early morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the heat and for a spectacular sunrise or sunset views.

Here's the location of the park in Google Maps:

There is one attraction here in Al Ahsa, Hofuf, area well known for it's biblical history, and it is called the Judas Cave.  It was believed that this cave is where Judas hided after he betrayed Christ.  Just recently, the Saudi Government developed this site to a tourist attraction.  And now, we are on our way to check it out.

Cave Opening

Despite the scorching heat outside, it is cool inside the cave.  The cave is a series of narrow passage ways.  Lights and CCTV cameras are installed inside the caves for security purposes.
